Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces are a real alternative to metal braces, specially when the last ones tend to affect teeth properties and cause root issues. They are made of composite materials, some variety being more or less transparent than others. Some ceramic braces can emulate the color of your teeth while others will be 100% translucent or clear ceramic braces. Adult patients favor ceramic alloys braces as they provide a better looking during the treatment. The ties or wires can also be either clear elastic ties or white coting metal ones.
Ceramic braces usually exceed $1000 over the price of meat braces. They take more time from the orthodontist, more scheduled visit and more expensive materials. A downside of ceramic braces is that they are fragile and tend to break more often and easier than metal ones. The choice of ceramic braces also depends on the tooth anatomy and the patient’s biting patterns.
